PURPOSE

our vision

A Church For Our Neighborhood and
For the Nations

In His providence, God has uniquely situated New Life Baptist within a neighborhood containing hundreds of homes, to reach our neighbors with the good news that Jesus saves the lost and redeems what's broken. As a result, we desire to be a church that has a direct impact on the overall life and spiritual condition of our neighborhood. We desire to be a church that is for our neighborhood.

However, our Lord has also commissioned His Church to make disciples of all nations. We truly believe that through our prayers, our giving, & our going, we are able -  by God's grace - to have an eternal impact on the billions of people and thousands of unreached people groups in our world today who don't have access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to see every tribe, tongue, language, and people worshipping King Jesus - and to be a church for the nations.

We exist to see lives transformed by the gospel as we make, mature, and mobilize disciples of Jesus.

Transformed by the Gospel

We believe the gospel changes everything. The gospel isn't just good news that gets you into heaven - the truth of what Jesus has done in His life, death, & resurrection affects every aspect of our lives as Christians. It is by the power of the gospel that God redeems us from the penalty of sin, from the power of sin, and one day, from the very presence of sin - for all eternity. The gospel changes everything!

Making Disciples of Jesus

Because the gospel changes everything, our desire is to make disciples - to see people brought into the kingdom of God.There truly is no greater joy in life than to see people repent of their sins, trust in Jesus for salvation, and commit to follow Him all of their days.

Maturing Disciples of Jesus

In the Great Commission, Jesus has also commanded us to "teach them to observe all that I have commanded you..." We believe this involves helping one another know, trust, and obey God's Word - in all of life's circumstances. Jesus is our Lord, and so by His grace, we desire to be a people who are daily shaped by and surrendered to His Word - to be a people who grow deep in discipleship.

Mobilizing Disciples of Jesus

At New Life, we believe every disciples is a disciple-maker. Therefore, we are passionate about equipping, encouraging, and empowering our members to live on mission and do the work of the Great Commission. It is our prayer that God would use every member of New Life Baptist to advance His kingdom - here locally in Broken Arrow, and to the ends of the earth.

  5. We commit ourselves to kingdom generosity.

  6. We endeavor to live in light of eternity.

  7. We strive to do everything by God's grace, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and for the glory of Jesus Christ.
