GIVE
WHY SHOULD I GIVE?
In short, we are called by God to generously give of our resources in light of the grace that God has lavishly given to us in the gospel. Paul makes this connection between the gospel and our generosity in 2 Corinthians 8-9, when he writes, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich... The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."
In light of God's Word, then, we are called to give generously, to give cheerfully, and to give consistently. Through giving our tithes and offering, we express that everything we have comes from God, we confess our dependence upon His provision, and practically speaking, we support the gospel ministries of our church. Our generous giving is an act of worship to our gracious God. As you give, remember the words of our Lord when He said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
ways to give
You can give safely and securely through a service called Tithely. This is a very simple and easy process. You can give a one-time donation or register an account to automatically give on a recurring basis. You can also designate your giving to various ministries. Your donations are tax deductible and you will immediately receive a receipt via email once your contribution is received.
Join us on a Sunday morning and give during our worship service. You can drop cash into the offering plate or make checks payable to New Life Baptist Church.
